The All Progressives Congress held its National Convention on Saturday 23 June 2018 at the Eagles Square, Abuja (Nigeria) and the former governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiohmole was elected as the National Chairman of the party (APC). Also other nineteen (19) officials of the party were elected at the convention. This is the party’s second convention since it was formed on 6 February 2013. Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the newly elected All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman will succeed the outgoing chairman (Chief John Odigie-Oyegun). In 2015 general elections, All Progressives Congress (APC) defeated the then ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the center, making President Buhari to emerge as the president of the country (Nigeria).
