We have talked about this issue, applauding President Bola Tinubu’s government for the tax reform bill. Although some Nigerians may not agree with some parts of the bill. But the most important aspect of the bill is that every allocation is going to be based on what a state brings to the table. If this is so, then it is going to be great. This would push state governments across Nigeria to fasten their seat belts and work hard to improve their internally generated revenues by creating jobs for the people of their various states, instead of waiting for monthly allocations from the federal government of Nigeria, which they would in the end embezzle. So the Viewers Corner News team is standing firmly with President Bola Tinubu’s government on this one. Any state governor that opposes such a bill should be seen as not ready to work for the betterment of the people of his state.
