Taraba state Governor

The Taraba state governor in Nigeria allegedly spent 2.6 billion naira on furniture alone.

The governor of Taraba state in Nigeria allegedly spent 2.6 billion naira on furniture while other areas like health, education, and housing get nothing reasonable. We have known that most governors in Nigeria are so corrupt: they create different corrupt ways to earn extra cash for themselves instead of working for the betterment of the people of their various states who elected them to office. It is so surprising for a governor to have spent 2.6 billion naira on furniture in this critical period of economic hardship in Nigeria. Our point is, if some important aspects of the state have been fixed, then when such a huge amount of money is spent on furniture, that should be understandable. But leaving areas where such huge sums of money would be beneficial to the people of Taraba state and putting it into unproductive areas is completely unacceptable. Again, we would use this opportunity to plead with voters in Nigeria to always choose their leaders wisely. If you elect a selfish leader to office who has nothing to offer, he would in the end render the state or the country to nothing. Hence, we are calling on voters in Nigeria to be careful when choosing who would lead them. Do not vote based on sentiment because in the end, you may be disappointed. Always vote based on credibility, so that in the end, “If I had known, I would have voted differently” would not be used.
