Michael Douglas son (Cameron Douglas) is now a free man, he was recently released from prison after serving seven years for drug offence. The Oscar-winning actor’s eldest son whom he has with his first wife (Diandra Luker) was sentenced to five years in prison in 2010 for possession and sale of methamphetamine. His jail terms was extended by two years in solitary confinement after he admitted smuggling drugs into the prison. The 37 year-old Cameron Douglas who is supposed to be released in 2018 is now living in a half way house (rehabilitation centre) in Brooklyn, New York where he is receiving treatment for his drug addiction. The Hollywood actor (Michael Douglas) who visited his son regularly while in prison criticized the United States penal system when he was receiving an Emmy Award for the role (pianist Liberace) he played in the TV movie ”Behind the Candelabra” in 2013.
