ZIMBABWE TO HOLD ELECTIONS IN FOUR TO FIVE MONTHS. THE FIRST TIME ZIMBABWE WILL HOLD ELECTIONS SINCE HER INDEPENDENCE WITHOUT ROBERT MUGABE BEING INVOLVED.

Information reaching Viewers Corner News from our correspondent in Harare revealed that Zimbabwe will hold elections in four to five months. President Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe made the announcement according to the report. This is the first time the country will hold her elections since gaining independence in 1980 without ex-president  Robert Mugabe being involved. The election will test President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s democratic credentials and if all the democratic principles are observed during the election by Zimbabweans, it would help to repair relations with Western powers and international financial institutions. President Mnangagwa stated that he is willing to invite the United Nations, European Union and Commonwealth to monitor the elections. President Mnangagwa came to power in November 2017 after Zimbabwe’s de-facto military coup which forced the 93-year-old Robert Mugabe to resign.
