No doubt President Buhari’s government has achieved more than all the governments since Nigeria gained her independence in 1960, but the bad aspect is that All Progressives Congress/President Buhari’s led government does not obey court orders in the country (Nigeria). In a democratic system of government, court orders should be obeyed at all times because they play huge role in the democratic process by making sure that the rights of all the citizens of the country are uphold, but President Buhari’s led government does not obey court orders which is troubling. So many people are being detained till today and some of them have been granted bail but the APC/President Buhari’s led government has refused to release them. Look at Mr Sambo Dasuki who has been in custody for years despite the court order that he should be released, still he is not released. Recently, a law court in Nigeria issued an order asking the APC/President Buhari’s led government to release Mr Omoyele Sowore after fulfilling his bail conditions, still the DSS in Nigeria under the direct control of President Buhari’s government has refused to let him go. This means that All Progressives Congress/President Buhari’s led government is still far away from practising true democracy in the country (Nigeria). The attitude of the federal government of Nigeria may have led most state governors in the country (Nigeria) to be disobeying court orders too. Some people in Nigeria who spoke to Viewers Corner News correspondent in Abuja (Nigeria) vowed not to cast their votes for any ex-military officer who would be coming out as a democratic candidate to vie for the post of a president. They also said that their military system is still in them and they can never change, so making them to lead Nigeria as a democratic president may not be the best for the country (Nigeria). They cited President Buhari as an example. They also said that no matter the good works APC/President Buhari’s led government may be doing in the country (Nigeria), people’s freedom should also be guaranteed which is lacking in President Buhari’s government and if another retired military man is elected as the president of Nigeria, he would still do the same thing. We (Viewers Corner News team) are therefore pleading with APC/president Buhari’s led government to change and start doing things that would make the people of Nigeria believe more in their government, most especially on issues of human rights, if not APC as a political party may find it difficult winning the 2023 general elections. Most states in Nigeria which APC should have won easily went to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) despite claims by majority of Nigerians that the party (PDP) is corrupt. APC/President Buhari’s led government should obey court order when it is issued.
