Italy against France in the wine-making industry: As of recent, Italy has increased its wine production exponentially, scaling above France which is famous for its wine-making. This is mostly because of the bad weather conditions in France which has hindered the growth of their vineyards. From 2007 to 2010, Italy was the world’s largest producer of wine, until 2011 when France increased production and surpassed them. In total, France has surpassed Italy in 2011, 2014, and 2023 but can no longer hold onto the 2024 title due to the bad weather conditions in France.
Nigeria:
The Federal government of Nigeria has released warning claims of flooding in the nation. This fear of flooding stems from the fact that Cameroon seeks to release the water built up in its dam. This could lead to even more loss of lives in the Northeastern states of Nigeria. Flooding still stands as a major risk to human lives in Nigeria as tens of thousands die each year either due to dam failure or heavy rainfall.
France:
The increase in Taxes to be paid by French citizens has created an uproar from the newly appointed French Prime Minister Michel Barnier. He claims that the increased taxes are not beneficial and could negatively affect the nation. This is also bad news because France is now one of the weakest economies in the EU zone because of its low GDP and heavy public debt.
