The issue is, why would Nigeria’s Court of Appeal wait until now to give judgement on this matter? Could it be a game plan to give power back to a northern candidate? This is a very sensitive matter, which should be handled with care. President Buhari is almost rounding up his tenure of office and now a court of appeal in Nigeria is coming out to talk about an adjournment on a forgotten issue. This is so surprising. Our take on this is that ex-vice president Atiku Abubakar knows that Nigeria of today cannot support him again like they did in the past elections. Meaning that his chances of becoming Nigeria’s president are slim. Even if he is allowed to run for president under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform, he will struggle to win the election in 2023. So his best bet would be to pursue the 2019 presidential result, which his camp said was rigged in favour of the APC, which brought President Buhari to power. As it is now, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar may be hoping that the Court of Appeal in Nigeria may decide the case in his favour. However, the Viewers Corner News team is advising those men at the Court of Appeal in Nigeria to do the right thing for the interest of peace and the unity of Nigeria. Any wrong decision made on this case, which has now been adjourned to May 2022, as alleged, could cause disunity in the country. The Nigeria of today is not the Nigeria of 2019. Nigerians are wiser now and they understand the manipulative games some politicians are playing in the country. The Viewers Corner News team is again, calling on members of the Appeal Court to do what is right for Nigeria and her citizens for peace to reign in the country.
