Some politicians who are benefiting from President Bola Tinubu’s government and others serving under the same government have already started making plans on how to retain power in 2027. These groups of individuals are so selfish and do not care about the welfare of the people of Nigeria. Even the protest that was carried out by Nigerians because of bad governance did not affect them. One of those politicians who is a senior member of President Bola Tinubu’s government told a Viewers Corner News correspondent in Abuja, Nigeria, that he is only worried that the northerners would likely not vote for President Bola Tinubu in 2027. But our correspondent in Abuja told the politician to address the issues of hunger and poverty, which are presently hitting Nigerians badly, and leave the election of 2027 alone. Our correspondent further advised the politician that if President Bola Tinubu’s government had done the needful, the people of the north would collectively support him, but as it is now, the hunger in Nigeria has given northerners and other Nigerians reasons not to support him anymore. Somehow if President Bola Tinubu can change the hardship situation in Nigeria, where the people of the country can get the necessary things to buy at a moderate price, then he stands a chance of being re-elected to office in 2027. Again, if President Bola Tinubu wants to win the minds of Nigerians, these are the few things in our opinion he should do: stop taking advice from the World Bank and IMF, reduce the petrol price, reduce the cost of governance, and scrap completely the office of the first lady because it is unconstitutional. Also, sack some of your advisers because they are advising you wrongly. Devise another strategy that can be used to eradicate or reduce insecurity in Nigeria so that farmers across Nigeria can go back to their farms and Nigerians can move freely in the country. If these things are done properly, then Nigerians may likely support your re-election come 2027.
