Our (Viewers corner) correspondent in New York was informed that president Obama of the United States may be considering paying a visit to Nigeria. This is beautiful but our question is this, why would president Obama wait until almost the end of his tenure before visiting Nigeria? This is the same as the previous presidents of United States who visited Nigeria in the past and now president Obama may be doing the same thing. Is this visit necessary? What do Nigeria stands to gain assuming President Obama comes to Nigeria at this time? Certainly not much or nothing, however if he wants to come that is nice but the Nigerian government should not expect much from him because he is already rounding up.
Any new government that would come may have a different agenda for Nigeria and every other country within the continent of Africa. This is food for thought.
