Francis Nwifuru, whom Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State is trying to install in 2023 as governor of the state. Governor David Umahi wants someone to cover his atrocities when he leaves office. Our point is that Ebonyi State is one of the poorest states in Nigeria, and those Governor David Umahi wants to hand over power to are his corrupt boys who have no plans to improve the lives of the people of Ebonyi State. These are people he can control when he leaves the office. The troubling issue is that the Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru, the former Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, does not have what it takes to be the leader of Ebonyi State. The Viewers Corner News correspondent in Enugu gathered some vital information that will interest the people of Ebonyi State and Nigeria in general concerning Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru. Most of the documents that Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru allegedly submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission had different dates of birth (25/2/1975, 2/1/1984, and 25/2/1984). It was also written in the document that Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru has a degree in 2021 and in that same year, 2021, he obtained a masters degree. In another document, it was further stated that Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru graduated on June 22nd, 2021 from the Faculty of Law, Ebonyi State University. On October 23, 2018, he got an exemption certificate from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Looking at Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru and his profile, it shows that there are lots of discrepancies in his alleged documents, which the Viewers Corner News team is calling on Nigeria’s authorities to look into and verify properly, because in Ebonyi state, there are lots of qualified individuals who are ready to serve the people of the state and at the same time build a sustainable system that works for all Ebonyians. Time has come for Nigerians to tell the truth, irrespective of who gets hurt. This is the only way Nigeria as a country can move forward. The reason most states in Nigeria are in difficulties is because of the political godfathers who install incompetent people to protect the interests of those corrupt governors who put them there. But if qualified and sincere individuals were elected to office, they would probably lead their various states nicely. In Ebonyi state, governor David Umahi is taking the godfather’s position and has forgotten that if those who were there before he came to power had not given him the opportunity, he would not have been in that position as governor of Ebonyi state. Now he has climbed the ladder and will not want to give others the opportunity to get there. We call this attitude “absolute wickedness.” Our advice to Governor David Umahi is to free the people of Ebonyi state. Do not install anyone; let the road to prosperity be open to all the people of the state by allowing them to freely choose who will lead them. This is what democracy is all about.
