Dele Giwa born on March 16, 1947 and died on October 19, 1986, may his soul continue to rest in peace. He was a decent and great man who believed in the truth. He saw corruption, manipulations and drug dealings of the untouchables in Nigeria. Men and women holding high positions in the Nigerian society who Dele Giwa thought would have been role models to the youths of the country (Nigeria) but are the ones destroying the same country and the law of the land which they sworn to uphold at all times. These group of individuals planned and killed an innocent man (Dele Giwa) for nothing just because he wanted the best for Nigeria. Again, no matter how long it may take to find his killer or killers, one thing is certain the Almighty God will surely expose whoever that has his or her hand in the murder of this man called Dele Giwa. We also believe that confessing publicly to the Nigerian people is the only option for whoever that committed this crime, it shall come someday hopefully. No one has the right to terminate another person’s life because life itself is created by the Almighty God who is our father, the creator of heaven and earth and on this note we (Viewers Corner) plead with the government of President Buhari to sincerely look into this issue and see if it would be possible to reopen the case again. Let there be proper investigation on this case because the person or persons who murdered Dele Giwa may still be in Nigeria after committing such terrible crime, this is an appeal from Viewers corner. Let justice be done.
