A democratically elected governor of Nasarawa state, governor Umaru Tanko AL Makura ordered demolition of a radio station in his state, what right does he have to commit such insane act? This is unacceptable and we (Viewers Corner News team) also gathered that the radio station carried a report involving the unpaid salaries of workers in Nasarawa state which led to the demolition of the radio station. The action of this governor is more than enough to throw him out of office because he is trying to subdue the existence of free speech which democracy gave to everyone in the world. This will bring us to the issue of most governors in Nigeria who have taken the laws of the country (Nigeria) into their hands by acting like terrorists which is bad. If a state governor democratically elected in Nasarawa state (Nigeria) can destroy a radio station for speaking the truth then something is wrong with the system and should be corrected immediately.
Again if governor Umaru Tanko AL Makura of Nasarawa state is not happy that the radio station aired his wrong doings, then he should make it right by paying the workers’ salaries. He has no right to owe workers in his state because he collects his state monthly allocation from federal government of Nigeria and also his internally generated revenue is there too, therefore he has no reason whatsoever not to pay workers in his state. Our (Viewers Corner News and the Advisory team) advice to the management of the destroyed radio station is this, an official letter through a lawyer should be written immediately to governor Umaru Tanko AL Makura of Nasarawa state and his government to fix the destroyed radio station as quickly as possible and if there is no response then the matter should quickly be taking to a competent court of law and the government of Nasarawa state will surely pay some huge sum of money as fine to whoever that owns the destroyed radio station because the governor overstepped. Governor Umaru Tanko AL Makura of Nasarawa state is among those governors in Nigeria who came to power without any knowledge of governance and what democracy is all about, his action has proven him to be so which is bad.
