that two sisters be paraded naked with blackened faces around their town and be raped afterward. The girls’ offence was that their brother eloped with a married woman so the jungle judgement was to serve as a punishment for their brother’s offence, this is not fair at all. Viewers Corner also learnt that these tribunals in India operate outside the country’s legitimate legal system. Many NGOs have criticized this ruling and Amnesty International have filed a petition with the Indian supreme court for the protection of these girls who have fled their home because of this jungle Justice.
