What are the local government chairmen in Nigeria using their monthly allocations for? The time for accountability is near.

In Nigeria, most local government authorities receive millions of naira, if not billions, as allocation on a monthly basis, but when you travel to different local government areas in Nigeria, you will be surprised at what you will see. Most local government areas the Viewers Corner News team visited not too long ago were so bad. Roads are not in good condition, and many more. Based on this, the Viewers Corner News team is calling on the Chairmen of the local government areas in Nigeria to use the monthly allocation given to them judiciously because a time shall come when they will be asked to give an account of how they spent the money given to them for the development of their areas. This also goes to the councillors at the grass-root levels. Nobody will be left out of the corruption cleanup. Nigeria as a country is going to eradicate corruption beginning in 2023. Again, if you examine the lifestyles of some of these local government chairmen in Nigeria, you will understand the point we are driving at. They use the monthly allocation paid to them for personal gains, leaving their people in abject poverty. Everything should not be left to the federal government and the state government to handle. Local government and councillors have their own duties to perform. Instead, most of the funds given to them for projects which would benefit the people of their communities were converted to private use. This is unacceptable. This attitude of stealing from the treasury of Nigeria have to stop, so that progress can come to the country.
