WEIGHTLIFTERS FROM RUSSIA HAVE BEEN BANNED FROM OLYMPIC GAMES (RIO 2016).

Viewers Corner News learnt that Russian weightlifters who are supposed to compete at the Olympic games (Rio 2016) have been banned due to doping offences. According to report, two of the country’s eight-strong weightlifting team have been banned and another four were recently named in the McLaren report. We also gathered from our correspondent in Moscow that about 272 of the total 387 Russian athletes who were selected to represent the country had been cleared to complete in Rio 2016. The World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) recommended recently that all Russian athletes be banned from the Olympic games (Rio 2016) following a series of suspicious test results at the Beijing and London Games.
The 2016 Summer Olympics popularly known as Rio 2016 is less than a week to kick off in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from August 5th to August 21, 2016.
