A court in Thailand has sentenced Watana Pumret, a 62-year-old retired government worker to 27 years in prison on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 for planting a bomb at a hospital in Bangkok which wounded 21 people. According to the information our correspondent gathered, Watana Pumret confessed that he planted the bomb at Phramongkutklao Hospital in Bangkok (Thailand capital) in May 2017 on the third anniversary of a 2014 military coup. Phramongkutklao Hospital is popular with military officers (their families and retired military officers) and Watana Pumret confessed that his reason of bombing the hospital is that he loathes the military.
