VIEWERS CORNER DID NOT UNDERSTAND PROPERLY WHY THE INTERNATIONAL COURT WOULD ASK SOUTH AFRICA TO EXPLAIN FAILURE FOR NOT ARRESTING MR OMAR AL-BASHIR, THE PRESIDENT OF SUDAN DURING THE AFRICAN SUMMIT HELD IN SOUTH AFRICA FEW MONTHS AGO.

Omar Al-Bashir

The International Criminal Court is the voice for the voiceless citizens of the world and has been doing a great job but their recent statement asking the South African authority to explain why they were unable to arrest Omar Al- Bashir, the President of Sudan to face criminal charges against him as allegedly committed.
Mr. Omar Al-Bashir was accused of genocide against his people. Somehow he has every opportunity of stopping the genocide and other related crimes against humanity in his country, Sudan but he did not do anything to stop it which thousands of Sudan citizens lost their lives just like that. Again, Mr Omar Al-Bashir according to Viewers Corner’s source in Sudan has been travelling around and no one ever said anything about that. The International Criminal Court should have asked one of those countries where he is visiting to get him  arrested so that he could face judgement. Why so specific about South Africa not arresting him? Is there something the International Criminal Court did not want the public to know about?  Recently,  Mr Omar Al- Bashir travelled to China, he could also have been arrested there.
However, Viewers Corner is appealing to the International Criminal Court to spread her net worldwide to make sure that Mr Omar Al-Bashir is arrested. They should not blame it on South Africa alone. Again, we also not forget that no matter the agreement signed between South Africa and other member nations to get some of these men arrested as directed by the International Criminal Court, it may be a bit difficult to do so. Viewers Corner is only been realistic here. If the International Criminal Court would want to get these men arrested, they should have an autonomous security agents that can get these men arrested as soon as they are out of their various countries but asking a country where for instance, Mr Omar Al-Bashir have visited to arrest him would be very difficult. It may be seen as a sell out by majority of the people. Viewers Corner would want International Criminal Court to examine this very closely, you invited someone to come to your country and then get him arrested. How would it sound? So the International Criminal Court should devise another means of getting Mr. Omar Al-Bashir, he has to face the law because lots of people were killed under his watch and he could not do anything as regards protecting them. That means he is in support of the death of his citizens. Once again, Viewers Corner would continue to advise on issues of importance worldwide. This is what we are known for. Again, Viewers Corner is doing this without fear of favour because we would like to see a world free of crimes.
