On Saturday, 23 June 2018, twelve Wild Boars Thai boys (age 11 to 16) and their soccer coach (Ekapol Chantawong, 25 years) went exploring in the Tham Luang Nang Non cave (northern Thailand) near the Myanmar border. Torrential rain flooded and blocked the cave exit, forcing the boys and their coach deep into the cave network, they stayed nine days in the cave before being discovered by two British divers. This drew attention of the world, and cave diving experts including 30 United States Air Force rescue divers, engineers, medical and military personnel from around the world flew in to help the rescue effort. The boys including their coach had been successful rescued. On Sunday, four boys flanked by two rescue divers were rescued, another four were rescued on Monday while the remaining four and their coach were taken out from the flooded cave on Tuesday, 10 July 2018 with the efforts of Thai rescuers and their international helpers. The boys are in the hospital where they are receiving treatment.
Viewers Corner News team join the world to applaud the efforts of the rescuers and we also pray for the soul of Saman Kunan (former Thai navy SEAL) who died last week during rescue preparations when he ran out of oxygen. May his (Saman Kunan) soul rest in peace.
