VELASQUEZ-CABALLERO (POPULARLY CALLED EL TALIBAN IN MEXICO) HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO THIRTY YEARS WHICH WILL BE SERVED IN U.S.A PRISON.

Velasquez-Caballero (ex-Mexican drug cartel leader) was sentenced to 30 years in prison recently by a federal judge in Laredo, Texas. Velasquez-Caballero, popularly called El Taliban in Mexico was an alleged leader of the Zetas cartel in Mexico. The Prosecutors said that the 47-year-old drug lord must serve 30 years in a U.S. prison and also forfeit $10 million for his drug-related crimes. Velasquez-Caballero would be deported after serving his term in prison. Velasquez-Caballero was arrested in 2012 by the Mexican authorities in San Luis Potosi (Mexico) and extradited to United States for drug-related charges.
