UNITED STATES OFFICIALS TO ESCORT ISRAELI DELEGATES TO UNITED ARAB EMIRATES ON TALKS TO NORMALISE TIES BETWEEN ISRAEL AND UAE.

It was reported that top President Trump’s aides would escort Israeli delegates to United Arab Emirates on Monday, 31 August on talks to normalise ties between Israel and the UAE. This will be the first high-level meeting among the three parties since US president, Donald Trump announced on August 13 a Washington-brokered peace accord to normalise ties between Israel and the UAE. The talk would focus on how to promote cooperation in sectors such as aviation, tourism, trade, finance, health, energy and security between Israel and United Arab Emirates. Palestinians have slammed United Arab Emirates for its betrayal of their cause. The Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu stated that White House senior adviser (Jared Kushner), Robert O’Brien (National Security Adviser), Avi Berkowitz (US Middle East envoy) and other US officials will travel together to the UAE with an Israeli delegation led by National Security Adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat. The accord would make United Arab Emirates the third Arab country after Egypt and Jordan to forge ties with Israel.
