UNITED STATES IS OPENING CRIMINAL CASES AGAINST HUAWEI, ACCUSING THE COMPANY OF TRYING TO STEAL TRADE SECRETS.

The United States Justice Department has recently opened criminal cases against Huawei, accusing the China giant telecommunication company of trying to steal trade secrets from T-Mobile (TMUS) and promising bonuses to its employees who collected confidential information on competitors. Also United States alleged that Huawei violated Iran sanctions and the statement was made by Acting Attorney General (Matthew Whitaker). Huawei on Tuesday denied the allegations, saying that it was disappointed by the charges brought against the company by United States. Meng Wanzhou (Huawei’s chief financial officer) was arrested in Canada last year December and United States is planning to extradite her. Vodafone also announced that it has suspended using Huawei equipment in its core networks.
Countries like Poland, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and other European countries are considering banning Huawei from supplying 5G equipment to them.
