A 64-year-old British Citizen, Robert Douglas Semple was working in the Hadhramaut area as a petroleum engineer
when the terrorist group Al Qaeda kidnapped him in February, 2014. On Saturday, August 22, 2015, it was reported that the UAE Armed Forces have rescued Robert Douglas Semple from this terrorist group. He was flown to Abu Dhabi where the UAE officials and the British Ambassador received him at the airport. Robert Douglas Semple will go back to his country, United Kingdom after all medical checks and treatments have been completed on him.
