Ukraine and China

Ukraine has decided to mellow down for peace; will Russia accept?

Ukraine has sent its foreign minister to China in hopes of coming to a peaceful agreement with Russia. In the words of the foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba, they hope to find common ground and put an end to the war. China is an ambassador for peace worldwide, and Ukraine hopes that China can help as a third party if Russia is willing to seize fire. The integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine are threatened, and they hope China can help restore balance and peace. China has maintained a healthy relationship between the two countries, and a favourable peace deal is most likely to require China. Mr. Kuleba, being the highest-ranking Ukrainian official, is hoping for positive results as the fate of his nation depends on the success of this meeting. Russia is yet to respond to this diplomatic intervention, but if we can remember, Russian President Vladimir Putin previously said that Moscow would end the war if Kyiv retreated from and handed over the rest of four partially occupied Ukrainian provinces and dropped the idea of joining NATO. This might be a hard choice for Ukraine, but the Viewers Corner News team hopes, as Mr. Kuleba said, they find some common ground.
