TWO TRAINS COLLIDED IN EGYPT’S COASTAL CITY OF ALEXANDRIA ON FRIDAY KILLING 37 PEOPLE AND WOUNDED ABOUT 123 OTHERS.

Thirty seven (37) people lost their lives and about 123 others injured on Friday, August 11, 2017 when two trains collided near the Khorshid station in Egypt’s coastal city of Alexandria. According to the report, one train was traveling from Cairo to the northern city of Alexandria while the other train was heading to Alexandria from the canal city of Port Said, east of Cairo. President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has ordered for investigation to determine who was responsible for the accident. For years, Egyptians have been complaining that the government has failed to deal with transport problems in the country which have claimed lives of many in Egypt.
