TWO PEOPLE WERE KILLED AND FORTY TWO WOUNDED IN CLASHES BETWEEN PROTESTERS AND SECURITY OFFICIALS IN CENTRAL BAGHDAD.

Our (Viewers Corner News) correspondent who is following Iraq’s unrest reported that two people were killed and 42 others wounded when protesters clashed with security officials in central Baghdad. According to the report, the casualties happened in the Khilani area near Tahrir Square on Thursday, 14 November 2019. The protesters are angry at the widespread of corruption, lack of job opportunities and poor basic services, including electricity cuts despite Iraq’s vast oil wealth. Since 1 October 2019 that protests began in Baghdad and mostly in Shiite southern provinces, over 320 people have been killed and thousands injured.
