Viewers Corner News correspondent in Istanbul learned that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey sued Kemal Kilicdaroglu, the main opposition leader on Friday, November 24, 2017 for accusing his family. According to the report, Kemal Kilicdaroglu accused President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his family of using tax havens. President Erdogan who made the application at a civil court in Istanbul through his lawyer, Ahmet Ozel is seeking 1.5 million Turkish liras (380,000 dollars or 320,000 euros) as compensation over the accusation. Kemal Kilicdaroglu demanded on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 during the Republican People’s Party (CHP) group meeting in parliament, if the Turkey president is aware that his family members were sending millions of dollars to tax havens. President Erdogan said that the accusation is insulting, false and slanderous.
