TURKISH GOVERNMENT THROUGH ITS AMBASSADOR, HAKAN CAKIL IS CALLING ON THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT TO CLOSE ABOUT 17 NIGERIAN- TURKISH INTERNATIONAL COLLEGES ALLEGEDLY LINKED TO FETHULLAN GULEN. IS THIS REQUEST APPROPRIATE?

Nigeria and Turkey have good relationship which is very nice and the recent failed coup in Turkey has already been condemned by most countries of the world including Nigeria. No civilized nation of the world would ever support what happened in Turkey where some dissidents group tried to overthrow the government of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, this is very wrong. However Viewers Corner News and the advisory team is appealing to the Turkish leader (Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ) to kindly tread with caution when handling this issue because it is a very sensitive one so that innocent people may not be punished for what they do not know. We are saying so because most countries where Turkish international schools are located which were alleged to have links with Fethulla Guten, the accused sponsor of the failed coup have been asked by Turkish government to close them down. One such country is Nigeria where the schools are located but it is not clear whether Fethulla Guten is involved in the failed coup or not but just because of the failed coup which Turkey authorities are accusing the U.S based Fethullan Guten of masterminding should not be a yardstick to hurt the students of those international schools by closing them down. If evidence of misconduct concerning the failed coup is linked to the sponsor or sponsors of such schools then the said individual or individuals can be prosecuted but please let proper investigation be carried out before any action can be implemented. We (Viewers Corner News and the advisory team) are concern citizens of the world and would always give advice when it is necessary.
