TSAI ING-WEN, THE OPPOSITION LEADER OF THE DEMOCRATIC PROGRESSIVE PARTY (DPP) HAS WON TAIWAN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.

The Taiwan opposition leader of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), Tsai Ing-wen has won the country’s presidential election held on Saturday, January 16, 2016. According to our correspondent who witnessed the country’s national poll, Tsai Ing-wen won a convincing victory in the nation’s presidential elections. She pledged that her government would establish consistent, predictable and sustainable relations with China in order to maintain peace and at the same time would defend her country’s interests and its sovereignty. Taiwan’s giant neighbour, China has warned that it will opposed any move towards independence by Taiwan. Congratulations to Tsai Ing-wen and her party, Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), we wish them success as they manage the national affairs of Taiwan.
