It was reported that on Monday, Cuba was struck with tornado killing three people. Also 172 people were injured and about 12 people were in critical condition. According to the report, the tornado was with estimated winds of 200 mph (320 kph) and hit three neighborhoods across eastern Havana. This was the country’s (Cuba) strongest in eight decades. Many homes were collapsed and government workers including Neighborhood brigades were at the scenes clearing fallen trees and chunks of concrete from the collapsed houses.
The country (Cuba) experienced last tornado on December 26, 1940 and it was a Category F4 tornado which hit the town of Bejucal (now called Mayabeque province).
