Three men from Hong Kong, Ko Chi-yuen, Kwok Fu-ho and Yang Wing-bun have been jailed on Thursday, 26th November by an Indonesian court (West Jakarta district court) for drug trafficking. Ko Chi-yuen, Kwok Fu-ho and Yang Wing-bun were caught with 49 kilograms (108 pounds) of crystal methamphetamine in the country’s capital, Jakarta. According to report, the prosecutors were pushing for death penalties but luckily for these men, the presiding Judge (Edi Hasmi) for their case sentenced Ko Chi-yuen to life imprisonment while Kwok Fu-ho and Yang Wing-bun were sentenced to 20 years imprisonment each. Indonesia has one of the world’s toughest anti-drugs laws especially this regime of President Joko Widodo who is a strong supporter of death penalty for drug traffickers.
