Viewers Corner News correspondent in Abuja (Nigeria) revealed to us that some Nigerians are asking president Buhari to render apology for overthrowing late Shehu Shagari’s administration. Those individuals saying so have no knowledge of history and are only being emotionally careless and reckless. Though we (Viewers Corner News team) sincerely sympathize in the death of any human being because having lived many years on earth with friends and family and later died, such individual will surely be missed but then that does not mean that the past issues would not be re-visited.
Now hear this: During late ex-president Shehu Shagari’s era, corruption and mismanagement were worse than they were during PDP/ex president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration. Also in late ex-president Shehu Shagari’s administration of the 80s, late Umaru Dikko who was an Adviser/Transportation minister in Shagari’s government of the 80s allegedly said that “Nigerians had not started eating from the Dustin Bin, so anyone saying that Nigeria as at that time was bad was wrong”. During late Shehu Shagari’s era, some politicians who celebrated their children’s birthday went to France and ordered special brands of wine which the names of their children were printed on the bottles using money belonging to the people of Nigeria to do so which in our (Viewers Corner News) opinion is economic waste. Corruption and mismanagement were so huge then, impunity for the social class became worst, Nigeria Naira was so badly devalued. Politicians as at that time were hiding money everywhere while the ordinary people of Nigeria can barely feed properly and many other corruption/mismanagement issues which Shagari’s administration brought upon Nigeria. All these contribted to why president Buhari sacked the regime of late Shagari. Based on that, president Buhari has no reason to render apology to anyone for sacking a government which destroyed Nigeria in the 80s.
When Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) almost destroyed Nigeria for 16 years like late Shagari’s government did in the past, it is still the same President Buhari who came as directed by God Almighty to rescue Nigeria for the second time. Sincerely this time around, he (President Buhari) shall complete his good works. President Buhari of Nigeria no doubt is definitely going to be re-elected to office so that he can position Nigeria the way it should be before handing over to whoever that will continue the good works starting from 2023.
