This has to do with the government of Nigeria not making funds available for all the Nigeria embassies worldwide and this attitude could create embarrassment and disgrace for a country like Nigeria if the embassies do not have enough fund to run their daily activities. Normally a special budget should be in place or set aside for them which would enable Nigeria embassies worldwide carry out their day to day activities and not relying on what the embassies generates internally because it would not be enough to run the administrative cost of the Nigeria embassies.
This is also among the reasons most Nigeria embassies worldwide are badly kept, the salaries of embassy staff are not paid regularly. The Nigerian government should always remember that the staff of the Nigeria embassies are living in a foreign lands and should be well cared for by the federal government of Nigeria, therefore we are appealing to president Buhari and his government to act now and save Nigeria embassies worldwide from the terrible situation they are into at the moment. Please make funds available for them to run their daily activities so that they would stop embarrassing the country (Nigeria).
