Information reaching Viewers Corner from Abuja, Nigeria revealed that the former military President, Ibrahim Babangida said he will never run for any political office again, that he will remain the elder states man. Ibrahim Babangida tried in the past after retiring from active force (Nigerian military President) to become Nigerian democratic President but failed.
Babangida personally is a likeable person when you come in contact with him, some Nigerian people said so but majority of the Nigerian public named him Maradona because of his leadership style.
Recently, the people Viewers Corner interviewed in Nigeria told us that he is a man lots of Nigerians can never trust because he says one thing now and before you know it, he is singing another different tune. Therefore, a man that have been classified in this category somehow would find it extremely difficult to run for any political office in a country like Nigeria and win. Some people believe his time has passed as far as Nigerian politics is concerned. Again, lots of people in Nigeria also said that when he was the military President, he committed lots of terrible atrocities and as it is presently, the only best way for him is to stay away from politics and remain the elder states man as he said.
