It is laughable and so surprising to hear that France told the new military government in the Niger Republic that they do not have the right to expel them from the country. This would show the world that without French-speaking countries in Africa, France cannot survive. The reason is that all the natural resources needed for France’s existence are obtained from Africa. Our point here is this: France should have figured out how to make their colonies in Africa have a better quality of life, just like it is in France. There are enough resources in Africa to go around, but because France wants Africa to remain in poverty forever, they decided not to assist them, and now the new generation of leaders in Africa have decided that what France did to their ancestors can never be repeated to them, which France has completely failed to accept. Hence, they are still believing that they are in control of Africa. Again, dialogue is the only way forward if France truly wants to be in Africa’s good books. Another surprising issue was when a company believed to be owned by a French national was asked to leave the Niger Republic, the company destroyed its equipment, including vehicles, instead of appealing to the new military government to see if a new deal could be negotiated with them. This is an act of wickedness. It was also alleged that some African countries that refused to sign a certain document allowing France to own most of the resources in the countries they colonized were treated so badly. France went as far as to destroy all the equipment they brought to Africa so that those countries that refused their orders would not use them. This is so terrible, and now this same France has been stealing from Africa for years without anyone challenging them. Africans are peace-loving people; they accommodate everyone that comes their way, but when you decide to use force or play dirty with them, then they will react in a hostile manner. If you go to the Niger Republic, where all these natural resources are being extracted, the environment is so polluted, which is sad. All the people of Niger are asking for is a fair deal with the outside world, which, in our opinion, is not too much to ask for.
