We want to re-visit this statement made by president Buhari’s media and publicity adviser, Mr. Femi Adesina. He said that if Nigerians are crying that they are in darkness, they should go and tell the people vandalizing the pipeline to stop and many more. We (Viewers corner) want to remind him (Mr. Femi Adesina) that everyone in the country (Nigeria) can not occupy presidential villa at the same time or be appointed to his post at the same time too because only one person is needed there. Also for him to be there does not mean that he is the most qualified person in the country (Nigeria), no and never. Again during the election period, president Buhari campaigned nicely, he told Nigerians what they wanted to hear and how he intends to tackle the problems facing the country (Nigeria). Based on that, majority of Nigerians voted overwhelmingly for him and that was why he won the election that brought him to Aso rock as president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In a democratic system of government, he is the leader of the country which everyone knows. He is in-charge of everything that is going on in the Nigerian economy therefore the Nigerian citizens expect a lot from him (President Buhari) as their leader because the past government ruined the economy of the country (Nigeria). This is why they voted for him to come and clean-up the atrocities committed by the past government and at the same time rebuild the country. No doubt about that, he is doing nicely in the fight to end corruption in Nigeria which is a pass mark for his government, most people in Nigeria and around the world agree with him on that but right now the citizens of Nigeria are in severe pains. President Buhari was voted to change the situation of the country to a better one. Mr Adesina, you got that appointment because Buhari is the president of Nigeria therefore the least Nigerians expect from you (Adesina) is to always calm the citizens of Nigeria down. They are human beings who have been pushed to the end of the wall as a result of hardship in the country. No matter how and what they say at any given time, they are only reacting to the economic hardship that is hitting them down because when an individual wakes up and has nothing within his or her reach to make life a bit easier for him or her, such a person is as good as nothing. Now you sit in Abuja with all the full benefits of life which is alright because such remunerations comes with your job, no doubt about it but then do not forget that they are lots of people in the country (Nigeria) who are in severe pains, human beings like you who need to be uplifted. Sincerely, we believe that all of you in the helm of affairs owe the citizens of Nigeria the responsibility of making sure that they are well cared for starting from the way and manner statements are being used most especially you (Mr. Adesina) who briefed the Nigerian public on general issues concerning the activities of the country as directed by your boss (President Buhari). That you are in that position does not mean that you are the best in the country so get that into your system and with wrong statements which you keep making most times shows that you are not a good and trusted leader. With the likes of you (Adesina), how can the country Nigeria move forward? Even our forefathers with many wives in the village who did not go to any school are better leaders than most people parading themselves in the country (Nigeria) with first class degree from various universities around the world. Honestly, we (Viewers corner) would advise you again Mr. Femi Adesina to always choose your words nicely and learn more from great individuals who made it to the top out of hard work. We suggest that you read more success stories of successful individuals around the world, with that you would be able to handle certain issues and also understand properly how you can present matters to win public support. Again every public officer should always think before speaking and not the other way round.
Nigeria is running a democratic system of government and so many things are involved in the democratic process which requires all public officers at any given time to respect and abide by that democratic principles. The Nigerian voters are the king makers because without them, you can never be in that position you are right now therefore they deserve the best from whoever that is leading them. Please Mr. Femi Adesina take note of this important fact.
