Viewers Corner got information from our correspondent in Abuja (Nigeria) that the Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja has sacked Nyesom Wike as the Governor of Rivers state on Saturday, October 24, 2015.
The Justice Mohammed Ambrosa-led tribunal stated during the tribunal judgement that they were satisfied that the petitioners (Dakuku Peterside/APC) have proved their case thereby ordering for a fresh election in Rivers state. The petition was filed by the All Progressives Congress and its candidate, Dr. Dakuku Peterside in the April 11, 2015 election challenging the election of Governor Nyesom Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party whom the Independent National Electoral Commission declared winner with the total votes of 1,029,102 against 124,896 votes for Dr. Dakuku Peterside of All Progressives Congress.
