Viewers Corner News wrote an article on this topic in the past reminding the Nigerian government and other oil producing nations in the third world that the advance countries of the world are doing good things to better the lives of their citizens, therefore third world countries should emulate them. Right now, most major motor manufacturing industries in the world are producing electric cars that will run without petrol, this system has already been in use in some countries around the world but not in large quantities yet. The prices of petroleum products are very low at the moment, we (Viewers Corner News and the advisory team) assumed that in few years to come, most people would like to change their cars and start using the ones that drive with electricity most probably when mass production begins. If this happens, what do we think would be the effect to countries that rely on revenue from petroleum products. Therefore, we are appealing to President Buhari and his government to please lay a good foundation now by diversifying the economy and placing more emphasis on other aspects of economic development. His economic team should carry out proper economic reforms and also create a good framework for both foreign and local investors to invest in the country (Nigeria). As it is now, if proper solution is not found or put in place quickly, such changes going on in the world may affect the Nigeria economy badly as she relies so much on petroleum products for her revenue and the innocent citizens of the country (Nigeria) may feel the heat more. Therefore time to act is now because tomorrow may be too late. We (Viewers Corner News and the advisory team) believe that if proper economic planning and implementation is done, the country Nigeria would be fine again.
