The surprising aspect of all these terrible atrocities allegedly committed by some of these men that ruled Nigeria in the past and are still in power till today is that after stealing and scamming the federal government of Nigeria, this same group of individuals would come out in front of the Nigerian national television to preach honesty but at the end they are the ones killing the Nigerian economy. Our (Viewers corner) assessment of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration is that his past government has been rated among the worst corrupt in the history of Nigeria followed by that of ex-president Shehu Shagari’s government of the 80s. Believe it or not, almost every department in all the ministries during ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration were involved in some sort of dirty dealings, the Nigerian treasury was just open for the big names in the country to loot the hard currency. They did that with impunity, no control and not minding the poor citizens of the country.
Look at Sambo Dasuki who was the national security adviser to the former president Goodluck Jonathan turned to contractor overnight, he had his hands in almost all the contracts awarded in Nigeria. Even when it was not necessary to award contracts, Sambo Dasuki knows how to manipulate the government to get contracts out. He allegedly scammed the Nigerian government of billions of Naira while the ordinary Nigerian citizens can barely feed well. God Almighty loves Nigerians so much that is why he brought a government that will end corruption in the country (Nigeria) and if corruption is properly taken care of, then Nigeria will surely stand on its feet nicely. We understand that things generally are very hard in the country at the moment but with time, it will surely gets better. What Nigerian people need now is prayers and patience to scale through this hard time.
Again if it were in some countries abroad, such corrupt practices from most of these ex-leaders would attract death sentence or multiple life jail without any option of fine if they are found guilty but in Nigeria such practice does not exist. Corruption has denied lots of people in Nigeria their basic rights to live a normal and happy life, the benefits which would have been given to the citizens of Nigeria were taken away from them as a result of corrupt practices by some of these terrible leaders who ruled the country in the past. Honestly this is the reason everyone in the country (Nigeria) should play down on sentiments and support president Buhari’s government to end this killer disease called corruption which has taken over the country (Nigeria).
We (Viewers corner) have no doubt in our mind that president Buhari’s government will have the disease (Corruption) eradicated.
