THERESA MAY, THE BRITISH PRIME MINISTER ANNOUNCED RESIGNATION, TO QUIT AS CONSERVATIVE LEADER ON JUNE 7.

Theresa May has announced her resignation as the British Prime Minister. Her resignation came after weeks of deadlock and confusion surrounding several failed attempts to push her European Union Withdrawal Agreement through parliament. Mrs May who became emotional during the announcement said she will resign as Conservative leader on Friday, 7 June 2019. She will continue to serve as Prime Minister until a new leader emerges and a new leader is hoped to emerge by the end of July according to the party (Conservative Party).
