Tinubu

There are many reasons why foreign investors will not like to invest in Nigeria.

The world saw how the presidential election of February 25, 2023, was manipulated and poorly conducted. The man who did not win the presidential election was declared the winner of the race by INEC and some corrupt judges in Nigeria. A man who forged all his documents, whose identity cannot be properly verified, a man who was linked to various drug crimes in the United States of America, is now the leader of Nigeria. Even during the presidential election, some foreign election observers from the European Union testified that Nigeria’s presidential election had lots of credibility issues. This is one aspect of the problem in Nigeria. Now the insecurity in Nigeria is another problem, where the lives of those living in Nigeria are not safe. Then the issue of power supply is worst across Nigeria and many more. So as a foreign investor, having heard and seen all these negative issues associated with Nigeria, which is believed to be the giant of Africa, how can any investor invest in such a country? The answer is negative, until the right things are properly put in place. So whoever is going to be the president of Nigeria should at least have some level of decency, both in Nigeria and outside the country. The people of Nigeria should be able to know a little bit about who is going to lead them. These little issues, which some people in Nigeria feel are not so important, are highly regarded by most foreign investors because they are bringing their lifelong investments into a country, so they need a good playing field that can guarantee their investments. But if the leadership of a country is so corrupt and dishonest, then investors would believe that their investment would go down the drain. Even if the matter gets to the law court, justice would not be served because Nigeria has too many dishonest judges on the bench. However, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, meaning that Nigerians should not give up their dreams by speaking out like they did during the election period. Nigerians should be consistent about it until it gets the attention their claims deserve. We also believe that the youths of Nigeria should come together, cooperate more, and never allow these elderly corrupt politicians in Nigeria to use ethnicity and create division among them. Again, the youths of Nigeria, who are in the majority, should stop working as thugs for these elderly politicians. If they ask you to carry out any dangerous operation, tell them that their children should take the lead while you stay behind. Again, do not be used; let the children of these politicians in Nigeria do it, like we have always been preaching.
