For now, trust is one thing the people of Nigeria may not be ready to give to ex-vice president Atiku Abubakar, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria, based on our findings. Ex-vice president Atiku Abubakar was Nigeria’s vice president for some years. When he was in power, his boss, ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo, gave him free hands to assist in directing the affairs of Nigeria, but then, the government in which he served did not address the most pressing needs of the people of Nigeria. Now this same Mr. Atiku Abubakar is bringing out ideas on how best to run Nigeria so that the economic situation of the country can change for good. If he had so many good ideas during his tenure, why didn’t he implement them instead of waiting to be president? However, as the people of Nigeria move closer to 2023, they will know the line-ups of those that want to vie for the presidency before knowing which candidate to support. Again, critical thinking is required before taking a decision on who to cast your vote for in the 2023 general elections. Hopefully, the people of Nigeria will get it right if reformers and modern day economic planners are elected to office in 2023.
