THE WORLD’S LARGEST SOCIAL NETWORK (FACEBOOK) TO APPEAL ON GERMANY CLAMP DOWN.

Our (Viewers Corner News) correspondent learned that Facebook (world’s largest social network) plans to appeal on Germany clamp down. Recently German antitrust regulators ordered clamp down on Facebook data collection practices, saying that Facebook should change the way it gathers data and tracks its users’ internet browsing. They ruled that Facebook abused its market dominance to gather information without the consent of its users.

Germany’s Bundeskartellamt (Federal Cartel Office) gave Facebook twelve months to stop its unrestricted data collection, using and combining the data with Facebook users’ accounts without the knowledge or consent of its users. Facebook on the other hand, said it would appeal the ruling by the Federal Cartel Office. It also said that the German antitrust regulators underestimated the competition it faced and has been unfairly singled out by the regulator.
