THE UNITED STATES SOCCER HAS HANDED HOPE SOLO A SIX MONTH BAN OVER HER ”COWARD” COMMENT ON SWEDEN.

Hope Solo, the United States female soccer goalkeeper has been banned for six months from internationals by the United States Soccer over her comment which she called the opponents Sweden ”a bunch of cowards” at the just concluded Rio Olympics. Hope Solo made the comments after the Swedes soccer women defeated the United States 4-3 in a penalty kicks at the Rio Olympics on August 12, 2016. This win against the U.S soccer women denied them the chance of winning a fourth straight Olympic title.
Sunil Gulati, the U.S. Soccer President who totally condemned Hope Solo’s comments said that her suspension starts immediately. This suspension will make the 35-year-old U.S goalkeeper not eligible for selection to the United States national team until February 2017.
