The USA is uncertain if the Hamas threat in the Middle East will hold, nevertheless the US military and Navy have been deployed in the event of war. The US secretary of defense claimed to have deployed several guided missile submarines, aircraft carriers, and other offensive military forces to the area. They are even forcing their ships to sail faster; the US is willing to spend billions on war rather than mitigate the situation. The Hamas are not making it any easier, as they still refuse to participate in the cease-fire talks that will take place this week unless their previously stated demands are met while still holding civilians hostage, some of whom are Americans. The Hamas previously agreed to change their terms, but due to Israel’s action of assassinating their leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran last month, they have refused all requests to cease fire as Israel remains indifferent. Israel, on its side, has shown no sign of backing down. Like two oxen in a ring, one must eventually bleed; this, however, can lead to the loss of millions of lives in the case of Israel versus the Hamas, Houthis, and Palestinians. This shadow of war looms over as the world is hoping for a peaceful ceasefire.
