THE UNITED STATES IMPOSED MORE SANCTIONS ON IRAQ AFTER IRAN’S MISSILE ATTACKS ON IRAQ.

The United States on Friday imposed more sanctions on Iran in retaliation for Iran’s missile attacks on the facilities housing U.S-led coalition forces in Iraq. President Donald Trump vowed to impose additional sanctions if Iran continues in it’s terrorist activities or pursues its nuclear program. In the new sanctions against Iran, United States targeted Iran’s manufacturing, mining and textile sectors as well as eight senior Iranian officials including the secretary of the Supreme National Council and the commander of the Basij forces who U.S said were involved in the missile attacks on U.S military bases in Iraq. Iran strike the U.S-led coaliation military bases in Iraq after Iranian top commander Qassem Soleimani was killed by U.S drone strike near Baghdad airport on Friday, 3 January 2020.
