Viewers Corner News correspondent learned that a $4.5 billion aid package has been approved recently by the United States House of Representatives to address the humanitarian crisis. According to the report, the aid package would be used to address the issue of migrant surge along the United States-Mexico border, and for those migrants in custody including children facing poor conditions at the overcrowded facilities. The House led by the Democratic voted 230-195, but the future of the bill is uncertain as the Senate which majority are Republican is still working on its own version of the bill. President Donald Trump has vowed to veto the House legislation. Nancy Pelosi, House Speaker stated that the legislation is a vote against the cruel attitude of Donald Trump’s administration towards children.
