It was reported that the United States Federal Aviation Administration has on Wednesday lifted a 20 month flight ban on Boeing 737 MAX, thereby easing a safety crisis that tarnished the reputation of Boeing and left hundreds of the jets idle. Steve Dickson, U.S. Federal Aviation Administration chief signed the order to lift the ban. Our correspondent in Seattle reported that the relatives of crash victims have criticised the move. The United States Federal Aviation Administration also released final details of the software, system and training upgrades Boeing and other airlines must complete before carrying passengers. The Boeing 737 MAX crashed in Indonesia and Ethiopia in 2018 and 2019 respectively, killing 346 people within five months.
