THE UNITED STATES HAS IMPOSED NEW IRAN-RELATED SANCTIONS ON SIX COMPANIES AND TWO PEOPLE.

It was reported that sanctions have been imposed on six companies and two people for helping Iran’s state-owned National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) to export millions of dollars of goods in violation of U.S sanctions. The U.S Treasury Department stated on Thursday that the six companies blacklisted are Hong Kong-based Triliance Petrochemical Co. Ltd and Sage Energy HK Limited, China-based Peakview Industry Co Ltd, United Arab Emirates-based Beneathco DMCC, Jiaxiang Industry Hong Kong Limited and Shandong Oiwangwa Petrochemical Co Ltd. The two individuals the United States included in the sanctions are Ali Bayandrian (linked to Triliance Petroleum) and Zhiqing Wang (a Chinese citizen linked to Shandong Oiwangwa). The sanctions would freeze all assets held by these companies

and individuals that fall under U.S jurisdiction, ban U.S companies and individuals from doing business with them. This is U.S latest step up to put pressure on Iran to abandon its nuclear program, regional activities and pursuit of ballistic missiles.
