U.S military airstrikes

THE UNITED STATES CONDUCTED AIRSTRIKES, TARGETING IRANIAN-BACKED MILITIAS IN SYRIA.

It was reported that the United States carried out military airstrikes in eastern Syria, targeting Iranian-backed militias. The airstrikes according to the report was ordered by President Joe Biden in retaliation for a February 15 rocket strike in Erbil in northern Iraq which killed a coalition contractor and injured several Americans. The structures in Al Bukamal town (eastern Syrian) that belong to Kataib Hezbollah and other Iranian-backed militias who had launched rocket attacks in the past against American facilities in Iraq were targeted in the airstrikes. Also a location through which the militias smuggle weapons were targeted as alleged. Last week, Jen Psaki (White House press secretary) said that the United States would respond to the February 15 rocket attack when and manner U.S chooses.
